Illustration, type and layout for the revised cover for the classic Paradise Lost by John Milton

I ride my bike to and from work every day. Yesterday a car and I collided on Chapel Street (I'm not even going to begin about how ignorant some drivers are and how badly cyclists need to be properly recognized on Melbourne roads). Alot of people have been asking me what happened so I have drawn this diagram to help explain. PLEASE CLICK ON THE DIAGRAM FOR A BETTER VIEW. Despite being thrown over the top of a car and into the gutter, an ambulance ride and waiting way too long in emergency at the Alfred, I am ok. Lots of bruises and grazes (my elbow is FUCKED), but no broken bones and still got all my teeth. I'm on morphine to deal with the pain, so please forgive the dodgy diagram.
Be nice to cyclists. xxx

This post is majorly over-due, but better late than never.
One of my favourite brands in the country is smiggle, for their vast array of fun stationary. I am a stationary junkie, so I was stoked when the creative directors at smiggle asked me to design their Christmas graphic. The piece was based on a previous illustration of mine that they loved (pictured), and it was used on everything from window decals to christmas wrap, they even had 3D versions instore!
I had photos but Dave's mac crashed and they disappeared into the oblivion, so the original artwork itself will have to suffice.
Since this project I have been working full time for smiggle's parent company The Just Group as a Graphic Artist, an loving every minute of it. I was invited back over to smiggle to work on another great project that hasn't been released yet, I'll post about it and include the video (yes, an animation!) when it's released. I love my job.

The lovely store Bob Boutique (and it's even lovelier owner Sonia) is showing a selection of my illustrations (see above!) from Feb 1st until March 12th.
Bob Boutique is a gorgeous store located in Bendigo, so if you find yourself in the area make sure you pop in and say hello!
Bob Boutique is located at 17 Williamson Street, Bendigo in the atmospheric Hotel Shamrock building.
